POSITION OVERVIEW

The Social Media Manager will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and visibility of Kaitlyn Wolfe and our brands — GROUNDFLOOR, SUBSTRATE, and SHOP MY WAREHOUSE. This highly organized, creative, and forward-thinking individual will bring strong Public Relations expertise and a passion for the design industry to the team. The ideal candidate lives and breathes social media, thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and has a keen eye for storytelling and brand consistency. In this role, you will oversee daily content creation and audience engagement, lead influencer and partnership initiatives, support PR efforts through media pitching and press opportunities, and mentor our part-time Social Media Coordinator to ensure cohesive, high-quality content across all platforms.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Social Media Management

● Content Planning & Execution: Develop and manage monthly social media calendars across brands using Planoly and Notion, ensuring alignment with marketing campaigns and product launches.

● Daily Posting & Engagement: Oversee posting schedules, monitor engagement, and respond to comments and messages in real time.

● Team Guidance: Provide feedback, creative direction, and mentorship to the part-time Social Media Coordinator.

● Content Creation: Capture and edit short-form video (Reels, YouTube shorts) and

photography that reflect each brand’s visual identity.

● Community Building: Engage with relevant audiences, designers, and partners to foster

authentic relationships.

● Analytics Tracking: Report on engagement, follower growth, and campaign performance

weekly and monthly, refining strategies based on insights. Public Relations & Influencer Relations

● Media Outreach: Research publications, editors, and media contacts in the design and

lifestyle industries.

● Pitch Support: Draft and send editorial pitches, product spotlights, and founder stories under the guidance of the Marketing Manager.

● Influencer Partnerships: Identify and coordinate influencer collaborations, gifting initiatives, and content partnerships.

● Press Tracking: Maintain a tracker with all media coverage, links, and deliverables.

● Event Support: Assist in planning, coordinating, and documenting media previews, pop-ups, and industry events.

Content Production Support

● Creative Coordination: Collaborate with the in-house creative team and external

photographers/videographers to plan and execute brand-aligned shoots.

● Brand Consistency: Ensure all content maintains consistent tone, voice, and visual identity — including captions and hashtags.

● Trend Awareness: Stay current on emerging trends, platform updates, and rising creators in design and lifestyle.

Administrative & Project Coordination

● Scheduling: Manage content approvals and maintain timelines for deliverables.

● Asset Organization: Keep brand content libraries organized, tagging assets by campaign and platform.

● Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner with Marketing, Product, and Design teams to execute

seamless campaigns.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

● Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, PR, or related field.

● 2–4 years of experience managing social media for a brand, agency, or creative business.

● Proficiency with Planoly, Flodesk, Shopify, Notion, Google Drive, Canva, Adobe Creative

Suite, and Meta Business Suite (Meta Ads is a plus)

● Understanding of PR workflows including media list creation, pitch drafting, and relationship management.

● Strong communication and writing skills, with a keen visual sense and attention to detail.

● Comfortable capturing behind-the-scenes and lifestyle content on set or in the field.

● Interest or experience in interior design, architecture, or product marketing is a plus.

● Positive, proactive mindset, eager to learn, adapt, and grow in a creative, fast-paced

environment.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
