What are we looking for?
We’re looking for a Social Media Manager who lives at the intersection of "data-driven" and "unhinged creativity." You won’t just be managing an editorial calendar; you’ll be the voice of our portfolio of prepaid brands, the architect of our digital presence, and the person who spots a cultural moment before it hits the mainstream.
This is a unique opportunity to act as the voice and architect of three distinct brands that empower millions of customers. You will be responsible for developing and executing innovative organic and creator content to build vibrant online communities, drive brand engagement, and support key business objectives. The ideal candidate is deeply immersed in social media and online culture, understands how to connect with value-conscious consumers, and thrives on turning insights into compelling content.

You are an avid user of social media and are up on all the latest trends. You are creative and innovative while protecting the brand’s reputation. You will be part of the organic and creator social team and be responsible for helping to build community and drive brand distinction with our customer and prospect base.
What you’ll be doing:

Translate business opportunities into creative expressions via organic social and creator;

Work with agency partners to craft engaging organic content and optimize performance for Verizon’s portfolio of prepaid brands;

Work on content campaigns for both large-scale and social-first brand moments - ranging from content with creators/influencers, to scripted content, and competitive content;

Assist in the development of campaign briefs, learning plans, and post-campaign reporting;

Partner with agency partners to generate audience insights from both our owned comment sections as well as general social listening;

Assist with social media experiments to identify new ways to express our brand and engage our audiences — whether it's testing new platforms, concepting around community insights, or a trending cultural moment;

Collaborate with agency partners to produce high-quality, engaging content (posts, stories, videos, graphics) for social media channels including Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, and TikTok, Reddit and more;

Collaborate with other marketing teams, customer service, and product teams to ensure a cohesive and consistent brand voice across all touchpoints;

Plan and execute social media campaigns to support product launches, promotions, and other marketing initiatives;

Identify and collaborate with brand advocates and influencers to amplify our message and reach a broader audience;

Manage and address social media crises and negative feedback in a professional, strategic manner.
You’ll need to have:

Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience;
-
Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training;

Hands-on experience managing major social media platforms, including Instagram, Tiktok, and Facebook;

Excellent copywriting and editing skills, with the ability to adapt tone and voice for different brands and platforms;

Experience with social media management and analytics tools with the ability to interpret data to make informed decisions;

A creative mindset with a passion for storytelling and community building;

Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment;

Strong understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and best practices;

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:

Master’s degree – better if you have an MBA;

Digital experience of trends and key business drivers;

Familiarity with paid social media strategy and creator strategy;

Telecommunications experience;
-
Bilingual (Spanish & English).
