We’re a cult-loved brand with a bold voice and a strong point of view — and we’re looking for a Social Media Lead to shape how Cha Cha Matcha shows up across platforms at a strategic, cultural, and creative level.

Role Overview

The Social Media Lead is a senior, strategic role responsible for owning Cha Cha Matcha’s social media vision, brand voice, and cross-platform presence. This role blends creative leadership, marketing strategy, and execution, ensuring every post, caption, campaign, and conversation reinforces our brand DNA.

You’ll set the tone, guide content direction, and partner closely with creators, marketing, and leadership to turn social into a true brand-building channel — not just content output.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Brand Voice

  • Own and evolve Cha Cha Matcha’s social media strategy across Instagram, TikTok, and emerging platforms
  • Define, protect, and consistently apply a recognizable Cha Cha Matcha brand voice
  • Translate brand, marketing, and business goals into creative, social-first strategies
  • Ensure Cha Cha Matcha remains culturally relevant, playful, aspirational, and distinct

Content & Creative Leadership

  • Oversee content ideation, planning, and execution (short-form video, photo, storytelling)
  • Provide creative direction for shoots, campaigns, product launches, and brand moments
  • Guide platform-specific storytelling while maintaining cohesive brand identity
  • Review and refine captions, visuals, and messaging to ensure quality and alignment

Marketing & Growth

  • Partner with marketing and leadership on product launches, seasonal campaigns, and brand initiatives
  • Analyze platform performance, trends, and insights to optimize content, timing, and formats
  • Develop and maintain content calendars aligned with broader marketing initiatives
  • Identify opportunities to drive growth, engagement, saves, shares, and long-term brand affinity

Community & Collaboration

  • Set the standard for community engagement and tone across comments, DMs, and reposts
  • Collaborate with influencers, creators, and brand partners
  • Work cross-functionally with operations, store teams, and creative partners to capture authentic brand moments

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in social media, digital marketing, or brand marketing
  • Strong background in brand strategy, storytelling, and voice development
  • Deep understanding of Instagram and TikTok culture and content ecosystems
  • Proven ability to think strategically while remaining creatively hands-on
  • Strong copy instincts with a clear, confident point of view
  • Experience leading social for a lifestyle, fashion, food & beverage, or culture-driven brand
  • Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable in fast-moving environments

Bonus Points

  • Experience in food & beverage, hospitality, wellness, or fashion brands
  • Familiarity with influencer strategy and creator partnerships
  • Background working alongside content creators or creative teams
  • Strong eye for aesthetics, trends, and cultural timing
  • Passion for matcha, wellness, and community-forward brands

Location & Work Requirements

This role is New York–based. Candidates must be located in New York City or the surrounding area and able to work from NYC locations as needed for content capture, meetings, and brand moments.
