About Foolproof Brewing Company

Foolproof Brewing has been making award-winning craft beer since 2012. Our original taproom is in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, and in 2024 we opened our Bridgeport, Connecticut brewery and restaurant — a destination space featuring a working car elevator built with the Black Horse Garage classic car collaboration, the only publicly displayed Banksy installation in Connecticut, a full kitchen and stunning event spaces.

We are the official craft beer of Lime Rock Park, recent winners at the Rhode Worthy Cup (1st for Swirl Pop, 2nd for Mexican Chocolate Stout, 3rd for Fest Bier and Barrel Aged Revery), and we are growing fast in the Connecticut market. We have the assets, the awards, and the story. We need someone who can turn that into butts in seats.

The Role

This is not a "post pretty pictures and watch followers grow" job. This is a butts-in-seats job. Every piece of content, every campaign, every dollar of ad spend needs to ladder up to one of three measurable outcomes: more taproom visits, more event bookings, or more repeat customers.

You will own the marketing function for our Bridgeport taproom — social channels, paid ads, email and SMS, influencer and local partnerships, and on-the-ground content capture at the taproom and events. You will report directly to the Director of Operations and will have real autonomy to make decisions, test campaigns, and kill what is not working.

If you are the kind of person who gets excited about tracking a TikTok to a Wednesday-night reservation to a Friday repeat visit — keep reading. If you measure your success in follower count, this is not the role for you.

What You'll Own

Content & Social Media

  • Daily content capture and publishing across Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook — shot and edited on your phone, on-site, with our beer and our space as the canvas.
  • Trend identification and fast execution — you spot a sound, format, or moment that fits the brand and you have something live within hours, not weeks.
  • Content calendar tied to the business calendar — new beer releases, College Night, private events, Lime Rock race weekends, kitchen menu launches.

Paid Ads & Conversion

  • Run Meta and TikTok ad accounts with a real budget and real targets. Build audiences, test creative, manage spend, and report on cost-per-visit, not cost-per-click.
  • Geo-targeted campaigns around Bridgeport, Fairfield County, and the I-95 corridor to drive trial visits.
  • Retargeting and lookalike strategies that turn one-time visitors into regulars.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Track the full funnel — impressions to engagement to website visit to reservation to walk-in to repeat visit.
  • Weekly performance reports with clear recommendations: what we are doubling down on, what we are killing, and why.
  • Set up and maintain tracking (Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, UTMs, Google Analytics) so we actually know what is working.

Influencer & Local Partnerships

  • Identify and outreach to Connecticut food, beer, and lifestyle creators — micro and mid-tier, not celebrity. Negotiate, host, and measure ROI on every collab.
  • Build relationships with neighboring businesses, event venues, and Bridgeport organizations to drive cross-promotion and foot traffic.
  • Activate our existing partnerships (Lime Rock Park, Black Horse Garage, FCP Euro) into content and customer acquisition.

On-Site Presence

  • Be in the taproom regularly — evenings, weekends, event nights. The best content happens when you are there, not when you are remote.
  • Capture and create live during taproom events, private events, and release days — turn what is happening in the room into what is happening on the feed.
  • Build a content library so we are not scrambling on slow weeks.

Who You Are

Required

  • 2+ years of hands-on social media and digital marketing experience, ideally for a restaurant, bar, brewery, hospitality, or local consumer brand.
  • Demonstrable experience running paid ads on Meta and/or TikTok with a real budget — you can walk us through campaigns you ran, what you spent, and what the results were.
  • Strong phone-first content creation skills: shooting, editing, captioning. Show us your work — your own account, brands you have run, or freelance projects.
  • Comfortable with analytics tools (Meta Business Suite, TikTok Ads Manager, Google Analytics, link tracking) and able to read data and act on it.
  • Genuinely understands current platform trends, formats, and culture — not just chasing them, but knowing which ones fit a brand like ours and which to ignore.
  • Available to work an on-site schedule that includes evenings and weekends when our taproom is busiest.
  • Reliable transportation to Bridgeport, CT. Must be 21+.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with email and SMS marketing platforms (Mailchimp, Klaviyo, Attentive, etc.).
  • Photography or videography background.
  • Existing relationships with Connecticut or Tri-State area creators and media.
  • Familiarity with craft beer culture (not required — willingness to learn is).
  • Basic graphic design (Canva, Figma, or Adobe).

Who You Are Not

  • Someone whose primary metric is follower count.
  • Someone who needs three weeks of approval to post a Reel.
  • Someone who wants to work fully remote.
  • Someone who treats "growing the brand" as separate from "growing the business."

Compensation & Schedule

  • $17.00–$25.00 per hour, depending on experience.
  • Full-time, hourly, on-site at our Bridgeport flagship (800 Union Avenue).
  • Schedule includes nights and weekends — this is a hospitality role at its core. Wednesday through Sunday will be your busiest days.
  • Beer. Obviously.
