With decades of expertise in aquaculture and a passion for aquatic life, we’re expanding our digital presence and looking for a creative, organized, and fish-loving Social Media Manager to help share our story online.

Position Overview

The Social Media Manager will be responsible for developing and executing a social media strategy that builds brand awareness, educates audiences, engages existing customers, and showcases our vibrant livestock and operations. This role combines creative content creation, community engagement, and analytics-driven marketing.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a content calendar across social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.).
• Capture and create engaging photo and video content that highlights our fish species, farm operations, and team.
• Manage daily posting, monitor engagement, and respond to comments/messages professionally.
• Collaborate with the sales and farm teams to feature new arrivals, rare species, and behind-the-scenes content.
• Run social media advertising campaigns to grow brand reach and attract B2B wholesale clients.
• Analyze social media metrics, track growth, and prepare performance reports.
• Stay up-to-date with trends in aquaculture, aquarium hobby communities, and social media best practices.
• Occasionally assist with website or email marketing content (as needed).

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing social media for a business, brand, or organization (preferably in pet, aquatics, agriculture, or lifestyle industries).
• Strong photography and video editing skills (mobile or DSLR experience a plus).
• Familiarity with tools like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite, or similar platforms.
• Excellent writing and storytelling abilities with attention to tone and accuracy.
• Basic knowledge of SEO, hashtags, and analytics.
• Passion for aquatic life or willingness to learn about tropical fish and the aquaculture industry.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

• Experience with eCommerce or B2B marketing.
• Understanding of livestock photography or aquarium care.
• Drone or underwater photography/videography skills.
• Knowledge of email marketing or blog writing.
