Social Media Manager and Content Creator

The Impact You’ll Be Making

This role creatively collaborates with the team to produce content that effectively engages our audiences with our mission, values, and the story of what Jesus is doing at our church, in the community, and in the world. They will creatively push BelPres Church forward; ideate, create, and produce engaging weekly content such as videos, animated graphics, photography, copy, etc., to tell our story on our communication platforms (e.g., social media, in-service announcements, email, website, BelPres app, print). This person is eager to learn; they're flexible to support the overall team's goals but also able to work independently to manage their projects and workload. This forward-thinking creative will experiment and grow the reach of our mission in new ways.

Who We Are Looking For

Skills and Knowledge

  • Personal and growing commitment to Jesus Christ and a commitment to the mission of BelPres
  • Prior professional photography, video and/or graphic design experience recommended
  • 1-2 years of experience with a social media management tool required
  • Basic video editing, photography, and demonstrated graphic design experience required or Journalism, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong creative instincts, excellent attention to detail and proficient in the cultural moment and audiences they are creating content for
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment to create better outcomes
  • Strong relational skills and the ability to communicate with people at every level of the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate well across generations and cultures
  • Outstanding command of written English, including spelling and grammar
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, love of language, and desire to compel the reader/listener

Pay: $32.00 - $38.00 per hour
