LUIGI isn't looking for someone to simply schedule posts.
We're looking for someone who lives and breathes social media, understands cannabis culture, knows how to build communities, and can help protect and grow one of California's fastest-growing cannabis brands.
This role is equal parts strategist, creator, community manager, influencer coordinator, platform expert, and digital bodyguard.
If you've successfully managed cannabis brands across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, and emerging platforms—and know how to keep accounts healthy while navigating the unique challenges of cannabis marketing—we want to meet you.
This position is based in Los Angeles and requires in-person collaboration at our Arelta offices three days per week.
What You'll Be Responsible ForSocial Media Strategy & Growth
- Develop and execute platform-specific growth strategies across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, and Beacons pages
- Build content calendars that align with product launches, events, campaigns, partnerships, and seasonal initiatives
- Identify trends, opportunities, and platform updates before competitors do
- Grow audience engagement, reach, follower counts, and brand visibility
Community Engagement & Inbox Management
- Manage daily engagement across all platforms
- Respond to comments, messages, mentions, and community interactions
- Escalate customer service, retailer, influencer, or partnership opportunities appropriately
- Foster a positive and authentic community around the LUIGI brand
Content Ideation & Campaign Development
- Collaborate with leadership, sales, marketing, brand ambassadors, influencers, and creative teams to develop content ideas
- Build campaign concepts that drive awareness and engagement
- Assist in planning and organizing photoshoots, video shoots, influencer activations, and social campaigns
- Ensure content aligns with brand voice, compliance requirements, and platform best practices
Influencer & Creator Management
- Identify and recruit influencer partners, creators, and ambassadors
- Manage outreach, negotiations, communication, gifting, and campaign execution
- Track performance and ROI of influencer relationships
- Help expand the LUIGI Collective creator network
Platform Health & Security
- Monitor account health and compliance across all platforms
- Implement best practices to reduce the risk of account restrictions, shadow bans, or removal
- Maintain security protocols, permissions, backups, authentication systems, and account recovery processes
- Stay current on cannabis-specific social media regulations and platform policies
Analytics & Reporting
- Track KPIs and campaign performance
- Analyze content performance and audience behavior
- Present recommendations for growth and optimization
- Deliver monthly reporting and strategic insights
Events & Field Content
- Attend retail activations, trade shows, events, photoshoots, and brand experiences
- Capture content and coordinate creators as needed
- Travel throughout California when necessary (all approved travel expenses paid)
What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
- 3+ years of cannabis social media management experience
- Demonstrated success growing cannabis brands on social media
- Extensive experience managing:
- Instagram
- TikTok
- YouTube
- X
- Beacons
- Strong understanding of cannabis compliance and platform restrictions
- Experience managing influencer and creator relationships
- Experience creating content strategies that produce measurable growth
- Excellent written communication skills
- Strong organizational and project management abilities
- Must reside in the Greater Los Angeles area
- Must be willing to work on-site at our Arelta offices three days per week
Bonus Points
- Photography or videography experience
- Basic graphic design or editing skills
- Experience using Meta Business Suite, Later, Sprout Social, Hootsuite, or similar platforms
- Existing relationships with cannabis influencers and creators
- Experience supporting retail, dispensary, or event marketing initiatives
