Social Media Omaha is a digital marketing agency based in Omaha, Nebraska. For more than 14 years, we’ve helped businesses grow through social media management, content creation, SEO, paid advertising, websites, and digital marketing strategy.
We work with businesses across a variety of industries, including home services, healthcare, hospitality, professional services, retail, and more.
We’re looking for a Social Media Manager who can independently manage client relationships, create engaging content, and take ownership of multiple accounts in a fast-paced agency environment.
This is not a position for someone who simply schedules posts. We’re looking for someone who can think strategically, create content, communicate professionally with clients, and take ownership of the accounts they manage.
Success in this role is determined just as much by communication, organization, accountability, and follow-through as it is by creativity.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Create social media content for multiple businesses and industries
- Design graphics using Canva
- Edit short-form video content for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts, and other social platforms
- Write engaging captions and social media copy
- Build and manage monthly content calendars
- Schedule and publish content across multiple platforms
- Communicate directly with clients regarding content, approvals, and requests
- Manage revisions and ensure projects are completed accurately and on time
- Monitor account performance and identify opportunities for improvement
- Stay current on social media trends, platform updates, and best practices
- Manage multiple client accounts simultaneously
- Maintain organized workflows, content schedules, and approval processes
- Take ownership of assigned client accounts and ensure an exceptional client experience
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Required Skills & Experience
- Must be based in the United States
- Previous social media management experience
- Canva experience
- Short-form video editing experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Reliable internet connection and professional workspace
Preferred Experience
- Experience managing social media for multiple businesses or client accounts preferred
- Agency experience strongly preferred
- CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar editing software
- Photography and videography experience is a plus
- Google Business Profile experience
- Basic SEO knowledge for social media

COMPENSATION
This is an independent contractor (1099) position.
Expected earnings range from approximately $36,000 - $48,000+ annually based on the number of client accounts managed and overall performance.
As you demonstrate success, accountability, and the ability to effectively manage a larger client portfolio, additional client opportunities become available, creating further earning potential.
