Social Media Content Internship (Short-Form Video Focus)

Overview:

This is a hands-on internship designed for individuals who want real experience in content creation and performance-driven social media. Please know this is an internship with a path to Full-Time, Part-Time, or Contract work for high performers.

You won’t be doing busywork. You’ll be working directly with real client content, learning how short-form video is created, edited, and used to drive attention and engagement.

This role is built for those who want to develop real, in-demand skills for creative and agency environments.

• Not for someone looking for a passive or low-effort internship
• Not for applicants who are uncomfortable with fast feedback and iteration
• Not for those expecting strategy-only work without hands-on editing
• Not for candidates who are inconsistent with deadlines or communication
• Not for people who are “interested in social media” but haven’t actively created content themselves

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Edit and repurpose short-form video content (Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts)
• Write captions, hooks, and post copy aligned with brand voice
• Assist in publishing content across platforms
• Track basic performance metrics (views, engagement, saves, etc.)
• Research competitors and trending content formats
• Organize and manage content libraries from past shoots

What Success Looks Like (First 90 Days):

• Consistent posting cadence with reliable execution
• Noticeable improvement in engagement and content quality
• Ability to independently turn raw footage into polished clips
• Strong understanding of which content performs and why

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong interest in content creation and social media
• Basic editing skills (CapCut, Davinci Resolve, or similar)
• Good creative instincts and attention to detail
• Willingness to learn quickly and take feedback seriously
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic

• You already enjoy editing or posting content in your own time
• You pay attention to viral content formats and hooks
• You like experimenting with short-form video
• You prefer hands-on learning over classroom-style instruction

This internship was designed for possible transition into a paid Content Creator / Social Media role within 6 months for top performers who demonstrate consistency, ownership, and creative ability.

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Riverside, CA 92507
