Role Overview
The Digital Marketing Intern will support the UPAY’s communication and outreach efforts across social media, digital campaigns, content creation, and online community engagement. The role involves helping drive awareness, amplifying our initiatives, and building meaningful connections with our digital audience.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Social Media Management
- Assist in planning, creating, and scheduling content across platforms including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, and others.
- Write engaging captions, CTAs, and descriptions aligned with campaign goals.
- Create and update weekly activity reports, analytics, and insights for performance tracking.
- Support real-time updates, trending hashtags, and topical digital engagement
2. Content Creation & Storytelling
- Develop high-quality visual content (basic graphics, reels, posts) using tools like Canva.
- Support writing blogs, articles, and website content on thematic issues and events.
- Assist in creating stories, polls, quizzes, and interactive content to boost engagement.
- Capture behind-the-scenes glimpses and community stories (if visiting field areas).
3. Community Engagement
- Respond to comments, messages, and platform interactions to build relationships.
- Engage in relevant online discussions, subreddits, and Quora spaces for brand credibility.
- Track volunteer engagement, event feedback, and community queries.
4. Campaign Support
- Support the design and execution of digital campaigns (thematic days, events, fundraising, contests).
- Assist in outreach, promotion, and PR coordination for events, awards, and impact stories. Help with Google My Business updates, SEO basics, and website backlinks for visibility.
5. Event Marketing
- Create post-event content such as reels, trailers, engagement recaps, and testimonials.
- Support in preparing digital brochures, posters, banners, and marketing collaterals.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
- Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or related fields.
- Strong interest in social impact, education, and community work.
- Basic understanding of social media platforms and content trends.
- Good written communication skills in English.
- Familiarity with Canva, basic video editing, or design tools (preferred).
- Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and bring creative ideas.
