About the role
Activate Fitness & Wellness is a private training studio offering small-group classes and 1:1 coaching. We’re hiring a part-time Social Media Manager to own posting, creative strategy, and content execution. You’ll partner with coaches and our designer to tell real client stories, promote classes/PT, and drive bookings.
What you’ll do
- Build a rolling 30-day content calendar across IG/FB (Reels, feed, Stories).
- Post consistently with on-brand captions + clear CTAs (book online, free consult).
- Capture/direct short-form video in-studio (testimonials, trainer tips, class moments).
- Turn client wins into social proof (with permissions).
- Plan and launch campaigns
- Community management: reply to DMs/comments, surface leads/FAQs.
- Brief the Graphic Designer on asset needs (sizes, copy, deadlines).
- (Nice-to-have) Support simple email/newsletter or landing-page copy for campaigns.
What success looks like
- Steady weekly output (e.g., 2 posts, 4 Stories, 2 Reels).
- Growth in inquiries/bookings from social (trackable link in bio).
- Creative themes that match our pillars: wellness, beginner-friendly, small-group coaching, pain-free movement, real results.
Must-haves
- Strong short-form copy + Reels/vertical video skills.
- Comfortable filming in-studio and directing simple UGC.
- Organized, deadline-driven, and data-curious (optimize from Insights).
Bonus points
- Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) or in progress (NASM, ACE, ACSM, NSCA, ISSA).
- Helps you capture movement-safe content, use accurate exercise language, collaborate tightly with coaches, and create educational posts that reflect proper technique and programming intent.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
