Social Media Marketing Specialist-Volunteer

We are seeking a creative, strategic, and data-driven Social Media Manager to oversee our company’s social media presence. This role is responsible for developing and executing social media strategies that drive engagement, build brand awareness, and support business goals. The ideal candidate is skilled in content creation, community management, social listening, and performance analysis across all major platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage social media strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Create engaging and on-brand content (text, image, video, stories, reels, etc.) for multiple platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, X (Twitter), and YouTube.
  • Manage and grow social media communities by engaging with followers, responding to comments/messages, and fostering conversations.
  • Collaborate with marketing, design, and content teams to ensure brand consistency.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and audience insights to optimize strategy.
  • Plan and manage paid social media campaigns, tracking ROI and adjusting as needed.
  • Analyze performance metrics (reach, engagement, conversions, etc.) and prepare regular reports with actionable insights.
  • Stay updated on platform updates, tools, and best practices to maximize effectiveness.
  • Support brand campaigns, product launches, and company initiatives through social media.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 3+ years of proven experience managing social media platforms for a brand or agency.
  • Strong copywriting, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Proficiency in social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social, Later).
  • Knowledge of analytics platforms (e.g., Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, LinkedIn Analytics).
  • Experience with paid social advertising campaigns.
  • Creative eye for design and familiarity with tools like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and project management skills.
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience working with influencers or brand ambassadors.
  • Knowledge of SEO, content marketing, and broader digital marketing strategies.
  • Video editing skills for short-form content (TikTok/Reels/YouTube Shorts).
  • Passion for storytelling, brand building, and staying ahead of digital trends.

Job Type: Part-time
