Founded in 2004, EPR is a fast-paced boutique agency built on relationships and the varied skills and expertise of our team. We are seeking a Social Media, PR & Content Intern who is eager to gain hands-on experience creating content, supporting client campaigns and learning the inner workings of an agency environment.
Job Responsibilities May Include
Social Media & Content Creation
- Assist with content planning and social media calendars for client accounts.
- Draft social media copy for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and other platforms.
- Schedule content across multiple client accounts.
- Monitor social media channels and assist with community management.
- Research trends, platform updates, trending audio and emerging content opportunities.
- Develop content ideas and creative concepts for campaigns, promotions and seasonal initiatives.
- Assist with on-site content capture, including photography and short-form video.
- Attend client events and assist with real-time social media coverage.
- Intern must be available 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday-Sunday, Sept. 11-13.
- Help create Instagram Stories, Reels concepts and other short-form content.
- Conduct competitive audits and social media research.
- Assist with influencer and creator outreach projects.
- Collect, compile and analyze social media metrics and performance reports.
- Support content creation and scheduling for EPR’s own social media channels.
Public Relations & Communications
- Assist with media monitoring, clipping and reporting.
- Maintain and update media lists and media kits.
- Research writers, outlets and editorial opportunities.
- Assist with media outreach and pitch development.
- Post events to community calendars and online listings.
- Support media events, client activations and special events.
- Assist with special projects and administrative tasks as needed.

The Ideal Candidate
- Enjoys social media and follows trends across multiple platforms.
- Has strong writing, editing and communication skills.
- Is organized, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects.
- Is comfortable learning new technology and digital platforms.
- Can work independently and collaboratively.
- Has an interest in food, beverage, hospitality, travel or lifestyle brands.
- Brings creativity, curiosity and a willingness to learn.
- Must show the ability to work in a team environment.
Job Requirements
- Strong interest in social media marketing, communications, public relations and digital content.
- Familiarity with Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and TikTok.
- Excellent writing, editing and communication skills.
- Experience creating content for social media, either professionally, academically or personally.
- Basic photography, video editing and graphic design skills are a plus.
- Familiarity with Canva and social media scheduling tools is preferred.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Preference for candidates who can be in the Louisville office Wednesdays and/or Thursdays for a total of 8 hours per week (one full day, two half days, etc.). This requirement may be discussed.
- This position is for 15-20 hours per week, available either as a paid position or for college credit (but not both), from August through December, 2026.
