Role Summary

To execute operational plans for Al Ain News' social media platforms, supporting the organization in achieving its strategic goals. This includes building impactful media influence, expanding reach, enhancing target audience engagement, fostering interaction, and achieving approved annual objectives and KPIs.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of operational and strategic plans for managing Al Ain News’ social media platforms to achieve strategic goals and strengthen media influence, reach, and audience engagement.
• Perform daily tasks, including:
• Managing all publishing operations on social media platforms.
• Assisting in creating social media strategies, defining tasks, and setting evaluation metrics to measure strategy success.
• Collaborating with journalists to develop ideas for social storytelling using words, images, and videos by offering suggestions and producing suitable stories and cards.
• Reviewing linguistic errors before publishing and selecting appropriate headlines.
• Analyzing platform data to improve outcomes and achieve optimal results.
• Monitoring and reviewing workflows to ensure compliance with publishing guidelines across all platforms.
• Preparing production reports and conducting periodic evaluations and analyses of social media platforms.
• Monitoring, developing, and following up on social media strategy implementation and ensuring strong content presence on various platforms.
• Tracking breaking news, daily events, and updates on social networks.
• Enhancing audience interaction and proposing ideas to foster engagement.
• Creating and publishing instant, breaking news videos, headline-only videos, news cards, and interactive content.
• Ensuring the prompt handling and publication of breaking news.
• Selecting and publishing the most relevant website news targeting the specific audience of each platform.
• Ensure adherence to Al Ain News’ editorial and publishing policies, maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and quality in creating, editing, and publishing digital content, including breaking news, reports, and interactive elements, based on work requirements.
• Make decisive decisions regarding the content published on social media platforms.
• Provide solutions to challenges faced by the team during work hours and support the direct manager with additional tasks.
• Ensure daily monitoring, updates, and analysis of the quality of published content on social media platforms.
• Leverage modern digital media tools, particularly interactive tools for social media platforms, search engines, and audience insights, to enhance the organization’s strategies for increased reach and audience engagement.
• Ensure the team consistently meets editorial goals, adheres to deadlines, and submits production reports.

Role Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, Media, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in a similar field.
• Experience working in media organizations.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills to build and strengthen interdepartmental relationships.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills with problem-solving capabilities.
• Proficiency in English (reading and writing).
• Technical and professional knowledge relevant to the role.
• Effective time management and organizational skills.
