About the Role

We are looking for a Quality Assurance to test our social media applications across web and mobile. You will validate core features including content feeds, user interactions, multimedia posts, and real-time notifications. Your goal is to identify issues before they impact the user experience.

Key Responsibilities

1. Social Media Feature Testing

• Test content feeds and verify post ranking logic based on user engagement metrics
• Validate engagement features including likes, comments, shares, and saves across platforms
• Test multimedia uploads for stories, reels, and posts including photos and videos
• Verify follow/unfollow, friend requests, and user blocking functionalities
• Test direct messaging including text delivery status and media sharing in chats

2. Functional Testing

• Create detailed test cases based on feature requirements
• Perform regression testing to ensure new updates don't break existing functionality
• Verify user authentication flows including signup, login, and password recovery
• Test privacy settings and account visibility options

3. API and Backend Validation

• Test APIs using Postman to verify data accuracy between frontend and backend
• Validate that like counts, follower numbers, and comment counts match database values
• Test notification payloads and verify deep linking works correctly
• Check server responses for user actions like posting or deleting content

4. Compatibility and Performance Testing

• Test across multiple devices including iOS, Android, and desktop browsers
• Verify application behavior on different network conditions from 2G to WiFi
• Test offline functionality and content caching behavior
• Validate app performance during high traffic events like live streams

5. Bug Reporting

• Identify, document, and track bugs using JIRA or similar tools
• Provide detailed bug reports with steps to reproduce, screenshots, and screen recordings
• Verify bug fixes and close resolved issues

Requirements

Experience and Knowledge

• 2+ years of experience in manual testing of web and mobile applications
• Strong understanding of social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, or TikTok
• Knowledge of complete software testing lifecycle and bug lifecycle

Technical Skills

• Experience writing detailed test cases and test checklists
• Hands-on experience with API testing using Postman
• Basic SQL knowledge to verify data integrity
• Experience testing on different browsers and devices
• Familiarity with bug tracking tools like JIRA

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs60,000.00 - Rs70,000.00 per month
