Summary
We are seeking a creative and data-driven Social Media Specialist to join our marketing team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about all things social media and have a proven track record of growing online communities, creating engaging content, and executing successful social media campaigns.
Responsibilities
- Strategy & Planning:
- Develop, implement, and manage our social media strategy across all relevant platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, Pinterest, etc.).
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and track metrics to measure the success of social media campaigns.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest social media best practices, trends, and technologies.
- Content Creation & Management:
- Create, curate, and manage all published content (flyers, images, video, written, and audio/podcasts).
- Develop a content calendar and schedule posts to ensure a consistent and timely content flow.
- Write compelling and engaging copy tailored to each platform's audience and format.
- Collaborate with the marketing and design teams to create visually appealing and on-brand graphics and videos.
- Community Engagement & Growth:
- Monitor and engage with our social media community by responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and professional manner.
- Identify and engage with influencers, brand advocates, and industry professionals.
- Run social media contests and promotions to grow our audience and generate user engagement.
- Analytics & Reporting:
- Use social media analytics tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Buffer, native platform analytics) to track performance.
- Prepare and present regular reports on social media performance, including insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Conduct competitive analysis to benchmark our performance against industry peers.
- Advertising & Campaigns:
- Assist in the creation and management of paid social media campaigns, including audience targeting.
- Monitor ad performance and optimize campaigns to achieve business objectives.
Qualifications
- Proven work experience as a Social Media Specialist or similar role.
- Excellent knowledge of various social media platforms, including their algorithms, analytics tools, and best practices.
- Strong understanding of social media marketing and a passion for creating engaging content.
- Proficiency with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social).
- Experience with social media advertising platforms (e.g., Facebook Ads Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Creative and strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- A bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field is often preferred but not mandatory.
