About the Role:
Powder House Ski Shop is seeking a passionate Social Media Specialist to join our marketing team in creating dynamic, story-driven content for YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook. This role blends social media management and copywriting - you'll craft eye-catching visuals and write engaging, on-brand captions that bring our message to life. The main priority of this position is to manage and grow our presence across social platforms, connect with our online community, and ensure our voice stays consistent, creative, and timely.
About the Powder House:
Powder House Ski Shop is a growing company that has 4 different ski shop locations, a coffee truck (Jitterbug), a delivery program for ski rentals (Ski Donkey), and are currently in the works for something else new and exciting!
Key Responsibilities
Social Media & Scheduling

Managing and publishing content across Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok for all four brands

Write engaging captions and CTAs based on existing media and brand goals

Maintain and update a content calendar in collaboration with the marketing team
Copywriting & Brand Voice

Write clear, engaging copy for social media, blog posts, ads, and email campaigns.

Write video scripts and on-screen text for our educational and storytelling videos.

Proof and edit existing materials to ensure consistency and tone across platforms.
Community Engagement

Respond to comments, DMs, mentions, and tags across platforms in a timely manner maintaining our brand voice

Repost user-generated content, spotlight customers and employees, and build connections with locals and visitors

Monitor trends in the ski, lifestyle, and coffee space to keep the brands culturally relevant and fresh
Motion Design (a plus!)

Create engaging motion graphics and animations for our social media and website.

Design campaign visuals, ad graphics, and email assets that align with our brand.

Collaborate with the video and marketing team to add animation and design elements to educational content, maintaining a cohesive visual style.
Qualifications

1-3 years experience in social media management, content strategy, and copywriting

Strong knowledge of Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube - including platform tools, posting strategies, and algorithm behavior.

SEO / AIO copywriting knowledge for blog content

Highly organized, dependable, and comfortable juggling multiple brand accounts

Willingness to to work across teams and take on a startup mindset

Passion for skiing, mountain culture, or outdoor brands is a must

Experience in Motion Design and created animated graphics for educational videos is a plus

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop) or equivalent tools is a plus
