Role Overview
Appliance EMT is seeking a Social Media and Content Specialist to own day-to-day content production and publishing across key platforms. This role focuses on creating professional, customer-facing content that builds trust, supports discoverability, and aligns with both traditional search priorities and AI-assisted search awareness.
This is a hands-on production role. You will plan, produce, publish, and report on content consistently.
Primary platforms include Facebook, Instagram, and short-form video surfaces.
Key Responsibilities
Content Production and Publishing
- Produce and publish a minimum of eight to twelve pieces of content per week, including short-form video, carousels, static posts, and stories where appropriate.Build and manage a weekly content calendar aligned to services, common customer problems, and seasonal demand.
- Capture content on-site and in the field, including technicians at work, before-and-after visuals, service explanations, and trust-building assets.
Brand Trust and Social Proof
- Develop a repeatable process for collecting and publishing testimonials, technician credibility content, and customer education materials.
- Maintain consistent brand standards for tone, visuals, accuracy, and professionalism.
Community and Reputation Support
- Monitor and respond to messages and comments using internal procedures.Escalate service issues appropriately.
- Support review-generation and reputation initiatives in coordination with leadership.
Reporting and Continuous Improvement
- Provide weekly reporting on production output, engagement quality, top content themes, and recommended adjustments.
- Continuously refine content based on performance and customer response.
Required Qualifications
- At least two years of experience producing content for a business, either in-house or at an agency.
- Portfolio required, including links to posts or videos you created and a clear explanation of your role in production.
- Proficiency with Canva and at least one editing workflow such as CapCut, Premiere, Descript, or equivalent.
- Strong writing and editorial judgment with clear, accurate, customer-friendly communication.
- Ability to operate on deadlines and maintain a consistent publishing cadence.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in home services such as appliance repair, HVAC, plumbing, or electrical.Comfort collaborating with technicians and operations teams to capture real-world content.
- Familiarity with SEO basics such as search intent and topic alignment.
