Social Services Caseworker, Sr.

Overview:
**This position is Hybrid: 3 days on-site, 2 days remote, with flexibility to vary.**

Purpose Statement/Position Summary:
The Community Behavioral Health (CBH) Adolescent Medicine Program provides outpatient behavioral health services to adolescents and young adults ages 13–21. Services include individual, family/caregiver, collateral, and group counseling (e.g., social skills groups, DBT, ACT), crisis intervention, and case management support. The program works in close collaboration with the Med Support Clinic and other program areas. Clinical focus areas include depression, suicidal ideation and behaviors, anxiety and psychosomatic disorders, eating disorders, child abuse and neglect, developmental delays and disabilities, exposure to violence and trauma, homelessness, family conflict, school-related challenges, substance use and co-occurring disorders, and coping with medical conditions. Under the supervision of a Master’s level social worker, the Senior Social Services Caseworker provides specific services to patients and their families. Coordinates case management services. Oversees Social Service Caseworkers and provides quality assurance. Demonstrates commitment to the principles of family-centered care.

Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience:

Required:
  • 4+ years of prior work experience in Social Work, Mental Health, or Behavioral Health in a mental health setting.
  • Prior experience providing individual rehabilitation, TBS or ABA services, and coordinating care with multidisciplinary internal and external providers.
Preferred:
  • 5 years social work/case management experience in a pediatric medical setting.
  • Prior substance abuse treatment experience with at-risk adolescents and young adults in an outpatient mental health setting.
  • Experience with DMH documentation and programs.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish.
Education/Licensure/Certifications: Bachelor's degree in Psychology or related field required. Current American Heart Association BLS certification is required.
Pay Scale Information: CHLA values the contribution each Team Member brings to our organization. Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates who meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates who exceed these specified qualifications and requirements. We provide a competitive compensation package that recognizes your experience, credentials, and education alongside a robust benefits program to meet your needs.
