An exciting opportunity awaits to join an innovative, community-based behavioral health and intellectual/developmental disabilities services organization in South Georgia. Georgia Pines Community Service Board is a public, not-for-profit agency with a $25M annual budget and a diverse team of 300 direct-care and support staff. We serve six rural counties through multiple locations, delivering high-quality, evidence-based services in the least restrictive settings possible.
We are currently seeking a passionate, committed, and collaborative individual to help advance our mission and vision.
The selected candidate will provide a wide range of paraprofessional social services to individuals and their families. Responsibilities include conducting intakes, participating in treatment team planning, performing crisis interventions, and assisting with personal and social challenges. The role may also involve supportive counseling, liaison work with social services, and case management duties.
This position is a key part of the JUSDAR program, a behavioral health initiative based in the Colquitt County Jail and reports directly to the Team Lead. The role offers autonomy and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a unique setting.
Position requires a valid driver's license and must be a Certified Peer Specialist (Applicant must have a mental health diagnosis with a minimum of one year of recovery and have a certificate (CPS) OR become CPS Certified within 6 months).
