Job Opportunity: GED Social Studies Teacher

Job Overview:

We are looking for a motivated and experienced GED Social Studies Teacher to prepare students for the GED Social Studies test. The teacher will help learners develop skills in reading comprehension, critical thinking, and understanding key concepts in history, civics, geography, and economics.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan and deliver lessons aligned with the GED Social Studies curriculum

- Teach topics such as U.S./world history, civics & government, geography, and economics

- Prepare students for the GED exam using practice tests and exam strategies

- Improve students’ reading, analysis, and reasoning skills using real-world texts

- Track student progress and provide regular feedback

- Adapt teaching methods for adult learners and diverse educational backgrounds

- Create a supportive and motivating classroom environment

- Maintain attendance and performance records

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Social Studies, Development Studies etc.

Knowledge about GED (preferred)

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to teach students with varying skill levels

Preferred Skills:

Experience with adult learners

Strong problem-solving and critical thinking teaching methods

Familiarity with online teaching tools

Patience and adaptability

Work Environment:

- Full time job 12PM - 8:00 PM

- Onsite

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Islamabad: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
