Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Social Studies Teacher to join our educational team. Duties

  • Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with educational standards and cater to diverse learning styles.
  • Facilitate engaging classroom discussions that encourage student participation and critical thinking.
  • Assess student progress through various evaluation methods, providing constructive feedback to support academic growth.
  • Mentor students in their academic pursuits, offering guidance on coursework and future educational opportunities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in curriculum development to enhance the social studies program.
  • Maintain organized records of student performance and communicate effectively with parents regarding academic progress.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and trends in social studies education.
  • Support students with special education needs by adapting lessons and providing additional resources as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Studies, or a related field; teaching certification preferred.
  • Experience in mentoring or academic advising is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in curriculum development and lesson planning tailored to various learning styles.
  • Excellent copy editing skills for preparing instructional materials and assessments.
  • Familiarity with education administration processes is a plus.
  • Experience or coursework in special education is beneficial for supporting diverse learners.
  • Background in journalism or higher education teaching can enhance classroom discussions and student engagement.

Pay: $48,312.00 - $61,059.00 per year
