Social Worker - Outpatient Mental Health Therapy - Fee for Service Positions

The Brooklyn Center for Psychotherapy is an Outpatient Mental Health Center located in Park Slope, Brooklyn that is known for providing the highest quality of care while treating each and every patient with the kindness and respect they deserve.

We are currently seeking multiple fee-for-service Psychologists/LMSW/LCSW/LMHC's to provide individual therapy to an ethnically and culturally diverse population of children, adolescent, and adults. These candidates must have a minimum of 2/3 years' experience post degree.

Schedule and Caseload

• Seeing children ages 5-18 a plus
• In-Person 1 day/week required.
• Saturdays in person 9:00AM - 5:00PM preferred
• Caseload of 15 patients weekly
• Patients are seen for 45 minutes
• Weekly Supervision is provided.

These individuals shall maintain clinical records in accordance with New York State Office of Mental Health standards and complete all necessary documentation required. The Center utilizes an EMR for all recordkeeping.

Qualifications and Skills

• Master's Degree in Social Work or Psychology
• Licensure required - Valid NYS LMSW/LCSW/Pys.D.
• Experience working in an environment that provides Individual/Group Therapy
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Sensitivity to cultural, religious, racial, disability, and gender issues

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine individual therapy needs.
• Provide outpatient mental health therapy utilizing behavioral therapy and psychodynamic techniques.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Engage in ongoing communication with patients and their families to support treatment goals.
• Address gender issues and aging-related counseling as needed, fostering a supportive environment.
