Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Contract Social Worker to provide direct services to families across a wide range of needs and backgrounds. This role focuses on advocating, strengthening family systems, supporting parental development, and promoting positive outcomes for children through supervised visitation, skill-building, and engagement services. The ideal candidate is flexible, self-motivated, and experienced in working with diverse populations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate and supervise family visitation sessions in accordance with court orders or service plans, ensuring safety and appropriate interactions
- Provide parenting education tailored to individual family needs, including child development, discipline strategies, and communication skills
- Engage fathers and promote active, positive involvement in their children’s lives through targeted fatherhood initiatives
- Deliver social skills and life skills training to children, youth, and parents to improve functioning and independence
- Observe and document family interactions, maintaining accurate, timely, and objective case notes and reports
- Collaborate with case managers, courts, and other service providers as needed
- Maintain professional boundaries while building rapport with clients from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds
- Adhere to all agency policies, confidentiality standards, and ethical guidelines
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or a related field
- Relevant experience working with children and families in social service settings
- Knowledge of family dynamics, trauma-informed care, and child development
- Experience with supervised visitation, parenting education, or family preservation services preferred
- Strong interpersonal, observational, and documentation skills
- Ability to manage an independent schedule and travel locally as needed
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Open to travel if needed
- Spanish speaking preferred
- Must pass background checks and any required clearances
- Computer or laptop required

Work Environment & Schedule:
- Flexible hours, including evenings and weekends based on family availability

Compensation:
- Competitive hourly rate based on experience
- Independent contractor (1099); no benefits provided
