Job Responsibilities
Student Support & Guidance
- Provide individual and group counseling to students on academic, personal, social, and emotional issues.
- Assist students in developing coping strategies, problem-solving skills, and positive behavior.
- Support students facing challenges such as bullying, peer pressure, family concerns, or academic stress.
Collaboration with Parents & Teachers
- Work closely with teachers to identify students needing additional support.
- Meet with parents to discuss student progress, concerns, and strategies for improvement.
- Serve as a liaison between the school, families, and external support agencies when needed.
Student Welfare & Wellbeing
- Promote awareness of mental health and wellbeing among students and staff.
- Design and implement prevention and intervention programs (e.g., anti-bullying, peer mentoring, stress management).
- Monitor student attendance, behavior, and overall adjustment within the school environment.
Crisis Intervention
- Provide immediate support to students in crisis situations (e.g., trauma, grief, or emergencies).
- Refer students to external professionals or agencies when specialized support is required.
Record Keeping & Reporting
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records.
- Prepare reports on counseling activities, student progress, and welfare cases for school leadership.
- Ensure compliance with school policies and ethical standards in student welfare.
Professional Development
- Stay updated with best practices in school counseling and child psychology.
- Attend training, seminars, and workshops to enhance counseling skills and knowledge.

- Social Worker/Counselor (UAE): 3 years (Preferred)
