Software Development Engineer - 2

Healthi is looking for experienced and talented engineers to join our team and build for the future. You will be responsible for the architecture, design, build and scale out of the Healthi platform to drive effective and affordable health outcomes to millions of users.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
• Take end-to-end ownership of your features including scoping, planning, design, implementation, testing, delivery and maintenance.
• Conduct design and code reviews for other engineers, including feedback on architecture and design issues.
• Continuous focus and contribution in the areas of performance, availability and scalability, reliability, and maintainability of the product.
  
  

Requirements

• Strong computer science foundations and fundamentals.
• Deep experience in designing and building production-level cloud-hosted web applications using Java.
• Comfortable in understanding requirements and designing optimised and extensible solutions.
• Fluent in any one database technology (e. g. RDBMS like MySQL or Postgres and/or NoSQL like MongoDB or Cassandra).
• Enjoy collaborating, guiding and learning from colleagues.
• Experience crafting and implementing highly scalable and performant RESTful micro-services would be a plus.
• Knowledge of Messaging Queues (Kafka and RabbitMQ), orchestration constructs (Docker) is required.
