About the Role

We are looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to ensure the quality and performance of cutting-edge IoT and 3D positioning solutions. You will design scalable automation frameworks, implement QA best practices, and perform end-to-end testing across web, mobile, and embedded platforms. This role offers the opportunity to work on innovative systems that combine hardware, IoT connectivity, and 3D technology within a fast-paced, agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain QA automation frameworks for IoT and 3D-enabled applications.
  • Collaborate with hardware and software teams to validate integration points across devices, sensors, and real-time data pipelines.
  • Build scalable solutions for capturing, organizing, and maintaining test data specific to IoT device connectivity and 3D spatial accuracy.
  • Perform manual, performance, and regression testing to validate functionality across diverse environments.
  • Conduct mobile testing to ensure consistent application behavior across devices connected to IoT platforms.
  • Define QA standards and testing procedures for systems involving real-time 3D positioning.
  • Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines to accelerate release cycles for IoT-enabled software.
  • Provide actionable QA feedback during sprints and proactively resolve blockers.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience with automated testing using tools such as Selenium, Pytest, Appium, and Playwright.
  • Proficiency in Python for test automation development and scripting.
  • Knowledge of testing frameworks for IoT or embedded systems, focusing on connectivity and data validation.
  • Familiarity with debugging tools for hardware logs and browser developer tools.
  • Hands-on experience with test management tools (TestRail, Zephyr, TestLink).
  • Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, etc.).
  • Ability to perform real-time testing for IoT sensor data streams and validate 3D models or positioning accuracy.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills in an agile environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with AWS Console logs for diagnosing IoT data flow and system performance.
  • Understanding of metrics/data analysis to assess quality in 3D measurement systems.
  • Experience in Agile/testing practices for multi-platform IoT deployments.
  • Knowledge of TDD/BDD approaches.
  • API testing experience with Postman, particularly for IoT RESTful endpoints.
  • Experience with mobile application deployment workflows (Fastlane, GitHub Actions, TestFlight).
  • Database testing for IoT-driven data collection and validation.
  • Prior leadership/mentorship experience in QA automation or IoT/3D systems testing.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $114,773.63 - $130,222.02 per year
