Software Development Intern, Cloud Backend

Position Overview:  

​​The Cloud Backend Intern will design and implement a centralized log and metrics pipeline to improve system observability and developer productivity. This pipeline will collect logs from services, process and store them in a scalable backend, and enable real-time visualization through an intuitive dashboard. The system will also collect and display system-level metrics (CPU, memory, disk usage, network) to provide comprehensive insights into the performance of deployed services in AWS.​ 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Design and implement a log collection pipeline that reads logs from application. 
• Develop or integrate tools for metrics collection. 
• Implement a real-time processing and storage layer for log and metrics data. 
• Set up visualization dashboards using tools. 
• Ensure the solution is scalable, secure, and fault tolerant. 
• Document architecture, setup, and operational workflows. 
• Collaborate with developers to understand their debugging and observability requirements. 

Qualifications: 

• Pursuing or recently completed Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 
• Proficiency in Go or similar backend languages. 
• Understanding logging frameworks, metrics collection, and monitoring tools. 
• Familiarity with AWS services. 
• Knowledge of Linux system monitoring and resource utilization of metrics.
