QualityLogic is seeking a software engineer to support the development of test systems for the emerging smart inverter and EV infrastructure. The ideal candidate has knowledge of programming grid simulator, power analyzer, oscilloscope and other equipment using SCPI language and IEEE 1547 grid support functions that these DER systems must comply with. Our product automated execution of these grid code functions by controlling and managing these types of equipment during the test execution. Candidate should have basic knowledge of IEEE 1547 grid support functions or other similar standards.
Location: Simi Valley, CA, with an option for a hybrid schedule.

Contribute to the design and development of equipment automation control by using SCPI programming language using C++.
- Create well designed C++ implementation that is modular, robust and optimized.
- Provide excellent customer support related to lab equipment control and automation.

Must have at least a BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent major.
- 1-3 years of experience in development of lab equipment control and automation using SCPI.
- Experience in the IEEE 1547 standards or similar grid standards a major plus.
- Experience with Ametek, Keysight, Pacific Power, ITech or other grid simulator products a major plus.
- Competent in C++ language.
Salary: $70,000-90,000
