About the Role

Vantor is building next-generation spatial intelligence tools and is seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer to support a mission-critical, web-based application. You will work on data ingest, archival, retrieval, and user-facing capabilities, including both frontend and backend development. This role is fully on-site at a customer location in McLean, VA and requires an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Eligibility Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Person (US citizen, permanent resident, Asylee, or Refugee).
• This role requires an active U.S. Government security clearance at the TS/SCI level with required polygraph.
• U.S. citizenship required.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Gather and document application requirements from customers, coordinating with the product manager.
• Implement new features using shell scripting, Python, Java, and JavaScript.
• Support both frontend and backend development, including database processing.
• Collaborate with developers across the stack to ensure architectural fit and technical alignment.
• Partner with UI/UX specialists and power users to create intuitive workflows.
• Participate in daily Scrum meetings and resolve blockers.
• Test features during development to ensure requirement compliance.
• Present completed deliverables at sprint reviews.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software development.
• Strong experience with JavaScript (Hono.js) and Python (FastAPI).
• Strong experience with TypeScript/JavaScript (Vue.js) and TailwindCSS.
• Experience with DevOps tooling, especially CDKTF/Terraform.
• Experience with relational database design and SQL workflows.
• Active TS/SCI with polygraph.
• Willingness to work onsite full time.
• U.S. citizenship required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building chat interfaces and working with LLMs via API.
• Experience with Docker-based development (Podman).
• Experience working with AWS.
• Familiarity with Git for version control.

Compensation and Benefits

• Washington, DC metro area base salary range: 137,000 to 228,000 USD annually.
• Actual pay depends on experience, skills, location, and market conditions.
