Note: This position is contingent upon contract award and successful task order funding. Employment is dependent upon the Government’s award of the task order to DeNOVO Solutions, LLC.
Position Overview
The Software Engineer 2 supports the design, development, testing, and deployment of software capabilities supporting mission systems and analytic platforms. This role contributes to development of cloud-native applications and microservices deployed through automated CI/CD pipelines in secure cloud environments supporting Intelligence Community missions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and services.
- Develop and integrate APIs, services, and microservices within enterprise systems.
- Support development and deployment of containerized applications using DevSecOps practices.
- Contribute to cloud-native application development within CI/CD environments.
- Participate in Agile Scrum activities including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize software applications.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and software artifacts.
- Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to support mission requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- 3–8 years of professional software development experience.
- Certified ScrumMaster Certification recognized by Scrum Alliance
- Experience designing and developing software applications using modern programming languages.
- Experience working within Agile or similar software development environments.
Desired Technical Skills
Experience with one or more of the following technologies:
- Backend development: Node.js, C++, Golang
- React and TypeScript / JavaScript
- RESTful APIs or GraphQL
- CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI
- Git version control
- Container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Databases: SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) or NoSQL (MongoDB)
- Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Scripting languages including Python or Bash
- Linux operating systems
- Microservice architecture
Highly Desired Expertise
- Designing and deploying cloud-native applications
- Event-driven architecture
- Secure software development practices
- User interface design and implementation
- Agile software development using the Scrum framework
- Observability tools such as Grafana or Jaeger
- Experience with Argo CD or Argo Workflows
Certifications
The following certifications may be required depending on the assigned team:
- DoD Directive 8570 / 8140 compliant certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+) for Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II roles
Salary Range
Salary Range: $111,000.00 - $131,000.00 (Commensurate with experience)
Note: The above salary range is a guideline and represents a broad spectrum of potential compensation. We recognize that a candidate's unique experience and qualifications may justify compensation beyond this range. Therefore, we remain open to considering higher salary offers for exceptionally qualified candidates.
