Essmann's Cabinetry and Millwork, a leader in bespoke cabinetry and furniture, is seeking a skilled and motivated Software Engineer to join our innovative team. Based in either Utah or Tennessee, United States, this Full-Time position is a fantastic opportunity for an individual passionate about developing software solutions that drive efficiency and support high-quality craftsmanship. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining the systems that underpin our entire operation, from client consultation to final production. This role offers a competitive salary of $45 - $55 USD per hour.
Responsibilities
As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for enhancing our technological capabilities. Key duties include:
- Designing, coding, testing, and deploying robust and scalable software applications to support internal business processes.
- Maintaining and improving existing software systems, including our order management, inventory, and production scheduling platforms.
- Collaborating with our design and manufacturing teams to analyse requirements and create technical solutions that streamline workflows.
- Integrating our custom software with third-party tools, such as CAD/CAM programs and ERP systems, to ensure seamless data flow.
- Troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving software defects and operational issues in a timely manner.
- Developing and managing databases to ensure data integrity and optimal performance.
- Creating and maintaining comprehensive technical documentation for all software projects.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Key qualifications include:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven professional experience in a software engineering role.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C#, or Java.
- Solid experience with database technologies, including SQL.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to collaborate effectively across different departments.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment would be a significant advantage.
- Familiarity with ERP systems or design-to-manufacturing software is desirable but not essential.
