What you’ll do

The Software Engineer II – Platform Engineering will be responsible for managing enterprise-level DevOps tools, databases, and AWS services. You will participate in ensuring that we provide DevOps platforms that are reliable, scalable, usable, and secure. You will be part of a high-performance team that applies modern Agile and software engineering practices to its work.

Who you are

Ideally you will have a BA/BS in Computer Science or a related field with at least three years of experience in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) or five years of SDLC experience without a degree. Adaptable to a fast-paced agile environment with an understanding of security practices for handling production customer data.

Your skill-set

Key skills and real-world experience for this role include:

• 
  Administration-level knowledge of DevOps Tools such as Jenkins, Artifactory, git, and Splunk in a large-scale engineering environment
• Low-level system administration, debugging, and reliability/performance/scalability/security design
• Infrastructure-as-Code languages such as Chef, Ansible, and Terraform
• Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, and RDS
• Knowledge of a broad range of AWS services, especially related to security and networking, is highly desirable
• Strong SDLC skills applied in a large engineering organization, including version control, peer review, and automated testing and deployment
• Experience administering relational databases, especially SQL Server, is highly desirable
• You should possess strong problem-solving skills and the ability to multitask and work independently without immediate supervision. At the same time, you should also be a strong team player who thrives in a highly collaborative environment.
