Software Engineer (Ruby on Rails + React.js)

Cloudpacer is seeking a Software Engineer in Ruby on Rails and React.js to develop, maintain, and enhance our web applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of both backend and frontend development and be able to work effectively in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance web applications using Ruby on Rails and React.js.
• Design and implement robust APIs and work on third-party integrations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and optimize database architecture.
• Build efficient, reusable, and scalable code that adheres to industry best practices.
• Ensure high performance and responsiveness of both backend and front-end components.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex technical issues across the application stack.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies.
• Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to team discussions and code reviews.
• Communicate effectively in English with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Be comfortable working in a night shift environment.

Requirements:

• Proficiency with Ruby on Rails (ROR) and a solid understanding of its principles and best practices.
• Strong experience with React.js for building responsive and dynamic UIs.
• Experience working with third-party integrations (e.g., payment gateways, external APIs).
• Hands-on experience with API design and development (REST).
• Solid understanding of database design (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
• Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Comfortable with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Strong communication skills in English.
