Job Summary
The Software Product Analyst acts as the bridge between business stakeholders and the technology team. This role is responsible for analyzing business needs, evaluating software solutions, defining product requirements, and supporting the delivery of technology products that meet organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements from stakeholders.
- Translate business needs into clear product specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Conduct gap analysis between existing systems and desired product capabilities.
- Work closely with development, QA, and design teams throughout the product lifecycle.
- Evaluate and assess third-party software solutions and vendor proposals.
- Manage and maintain the product backlog in collaboration with the Product Manager.
- Facilitate workshops, meetings, and reviews with business units and technical teams.
- Create and maintain product documentation including process flows, wireframes, and user manuals.
- Track and report on product performance metrics and KPIs post-deployment.
- Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and coordinate feedback cycles.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Analysis, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in a software product analyst, business analyst, or similar role.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Proficiency in requirements management and project tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps).
- Familiarity with UI/UX concepts and ability to create wireframes or process flows.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with ERP, CRM, or enterprise software platforms.
- Knowledge of API integrations and data flow concepts.
- Familiarity with tools such as Figma, Lucidchart, or Visio.
- Product management certifications (CSPO, CBAP, or equivalent) are an advantage.
