Position Details

We’re seeking a highly motivated technical person to join our growing software quality assurance team. The SQA engineer will develop, maintain and execute various tests across a variety of software and hardware configurations. This individual will help advance our automated testing capabilities. Testing will span proprietary mobile applications and backend cloud architecture. This individual will work with the QA team to expand and enhance test coverage while operating in an agile environment. The successful candidate will be able to effectively communicate any quality issues or concerns to the development team and stakeholders, advocating for necessary changes or improvements.

• Ensure quality issues and defects are appropriately identified, documented, tracked and resolved in the defect tracking system
• Design, maintain and execute test cases based upon information obtained during product meetings, discussions and customer reported issues
• Leverage AI and other tools to automate testing systems to improve the effectiveness of a test cycle
• Monitor system performance and identifying potential issues before they impact internal and external customers
• Perform regression testing to verify defect fixes
• Analyze test results and provide detailed reports
• Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies
• Competency with integrated solutions that combine hardware, software and cloud infrastructure

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 4+ years of hands-on software quality assurance experience on mobile platforms, with an emphasis on iOS/iPadOS preferred
• Experience in building, maintaining and executing test plans using TestRail or equivalent test case management software
• Demonstrable ability in reporting, tracking and verifying issues using defect tracking programs; preferably using Jira
• Proven track record of delivering high quality solutions on mobile hardware, that leverage features such as camera, location, and mobile workflows on iPhone and iPad devices
• Strong analytical thinking and problem solving
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with public-facing frameworks, SDK’s, and API’s
• Knowledge of software/hardware/firmware development
• Experience monitoring large fleets of devices
