About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented QA Engineer with 2+ years of experience in both manual and automation testing to join our growing team in Kochi.

The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, performance, and reliability of our software products by designing and executing structured test strategies.

You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and cross-functional teams to identify defects, enhance system functionality, and deliver high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Test Planning & Execution

• Analyze functional and technical requirements to create detailed test plans and test cases.
• Execute manual test cases covering functional, usability, integration, and performance testing.
• Maintain proper documentation of test cases and test results.

Automation Testing

• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using frameworks such as Selenium, Cucumber, or Jenkins.
• Improve automation coverage and testing efficiency.
• Integrate automated test cases within CI/CD pipelines where applicable.

Bug Tracking & Defect Management

• Identify, document, and track defects using tools such as Jira.
• Perform root cause analysis and collaborate with developers for resolution.
• Verify bug fixes and ensure quality standards are met before release.

API & Database Testing

• Perform API testing using tools like Postman.
• Validate backend data using SQL queries.
• Ensure seamless integration between frontend and backend systems.

Agile Collaboration

• Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Stand-ups, Retrospectives).
• Work closely with development teams to clarify requirements and improve testing strategies.

Regression Testing

• Conduct regression testing to ensure new features or code changes do not impact existing functionality.
• Support release cycles and deployment validation.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Experience

• Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience in software QA (manual and automation).

Technical Skills

• Experience in Web Applications, Standalone Applications, and API Testing.
• Strong knowledge of SQL for database testing.
• Hands-on experience with Postman or similar API testing tools.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Experience with Selenium automation framework.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and processes.

QA Knowledge

• Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum methodology.

Tools

• Jira (bug tracking)
• Selenium (automation)
• Git (preferred)

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
