Role Summery:

The Software QA Engineer will be responsible for ensuring software quality through meticulous manual and automated testing. This role involves designing test plans, executing test cases, identifying and reporting bugs, and collaborating closely with developers and product teams to deliver robust and scalable software products.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute manual test cases based on functional and technical requirements.
• Create, maintain, and run automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar frameworks.
• Perform different types of testing, including functional, regression, smoke, integration, performance, and non-functional testing.
• Identify, document, track, and verify software defects using bug tracking tools like JIRA.
• Work closely with developers, product managers, and business analysts to clarify requirements and ensure quality deliverables.
• Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and assist in release management and deployment processes.
• Maintain detailed test documentation including test plans, reports, defect logs, and metrics.
• Collaborate within Agile/Scrum teams, contributing to sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Stay current with industry testing trends, automation frameworks, and best practices in QA.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of proven experience in software quality assurance, covering both manual and automated testing.
• Hands-on proficiency with Selenium WebDriver and scripting languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Strong understanding of manual testing methodologies and experience designing and executing detailed test scenarios.
• Experience working with defect tracking and test management tools (JIRA, Confluence).
• Good command of SQL for backend testing and data validation.
• Familiarity with SDLC processes and Agile development practices.
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.
• Exposure to Jenkins or other continuous integration tools is a plus.
• Knowledge of performance or security testing is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Experience testing both web and mobile applications.
• Ability to build or maintain test automation frameworks.
• Familiarity with Behavior Driven Development (BDD) tools like Cucumber.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs60,000.00 - Rs110,000.00 per month
