Software Quality Assurance Engineer

KMNR Engineering (Pvt.) Limited is currently looking for a full-time Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Tester to support our team in testing and ensuring the quality of a client’s intranet applications built on SharePoint and ASP.NET with an MS SQL backend.

The successful candidate will be responsible for validating functionality, usability, performance, and reliability of web and mobile applications. Strong written and verbal communication in English is mandatory, as you will work closely with overseas clients and teams. Only candidates who can communicate and attend interviews in English will be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

• Test intranet web applications built on SharePoint and ASP.NET for functionality, usability, and performance.
• Validate responsive behavior of intranet pages across devices and screen sizes.
• Prepare, execute, and maintain test cases, test plans, and test scenarios based on business requirements and specifications.
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Identify, analyze, log, and track defects, errors, and inconsistencies using appropriate defect tracking tools.
• Verify fixes and conduct re-testing to ensure issues are resolved.
• Perform web UI validation and cross-browser compatibility testing.
• Validate reports (e.g., New Hire, Staff Lists, Contact Reports) for data accuracy and functional correctness.
• Test system integrations with in-house databases and third-party systems (e.g., Newforma, Deltek Vision) from a QA perspective.
• Collaborate closely with developers and IT infrastructure teams to ensure quality across the development life cycle.
• Participate in release testing and support version releases by performing regression and acceptance testing.
• Create and maintain QA documentation, test reports, and test execution summaries.
• Coordinate and support testing by users and third parties.
• Contribute to defining and improving QA standards, processes, and best practices.

Qualifications and Education:

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 – 5 years’ experience in Software Quality Assurance / Testing.
• Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and basic knowledge of SDLC.
• Hands-on experience with manual testing of web applications (automation experience is a plus).
• Basic understanding of databases and APIs for validation and testing purposes.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Knowledge of CRM systems will be a plus.
• Experience testing .NET / SharePoint-based applications will be a strong plus.
