Position Title: Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract Software Quality Assurance Engineer opportunity located in Louisville, CO

Job Responsibilities:

• Design, write, and maintain test cases and test plans based on product requirements
• Perform manual testing (functional, regression, exploratory) across web or APIs
• Identify, document, and track bugs with clear reproduction steps and expected vs actual results
• Participate in test execution cycles
• Participate in investigation and reproduction of customer reported issues
• Work with developers, product managers, and designers to understand requirements and identify potential issues
• Maintain test documentation and update test cases as features evolve
• Provide clear test reports and quality status updates to stakeholders
• Own QA efforts for project through development life cycle
• Validate implemented UI against design specifications
  
  
  

Job Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in software testing
• Experience with bug tracking software such as Jira or click-up
• Hands-on experience with both manual and automated testing
• Experience with at least one modern automation framework (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright)
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins
• Experience testing APIs using tools like Postman
• Basic knowledge of SQL for data validation
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, testing types, and software development lifecycle
• Experience testing subscription-based products
• Experience working effectively in a remote or distributed team environment, with strong communication and self-management skills
• Nice to Have:
• CMS experience
• Familiarity with python and browser stack
• Experience with test case management tools like TestRail
• Experience testing tts platforms, accessibility, security.
  
  
  

Job Details:

• Job Type: Contract
• Location: Fully remote (Oregon or Washington State only).
• Pay Rate: $40-$45 an hour.
• Due to government contract requirements, this position is restricted to U.S. Citizens/Green Card Holder only.
