Software Tester

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Software Tester with 1–2 years of hands-on experience in both Manual and Automation Testing. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of software testing methodologies, test case creation, and defect lifecycle management, along with a working knowledge of automation tools and scripting. You will work closely with the development and product teams to ensure high-quality releases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze requirements and prepare detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and UI testing manually.
• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, or similar.
• Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs using tools such as JIRA or Bugzilla.
• Work closely with developers to understand features and resolve bugs.
• Conduct root cause analysis and provide inputs on improving test coverage and automation framework.
• Ensure test environments are correctly set up and maintained.
• Participate in sprint planning and Agile ceremonies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products.

Key Skills Required:

• Strong knowledge of manual testing methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with automation testing tools like Selenium WebDriver, Postman, JUnit/TestNG, etc.
• Experience in writing automation scripts using Java, Python, or similar programming languages.
• Familiarity with API testing and web services (REST/SOAP).
• Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.
• Proficiency in using bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).
• Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and version control tools (e.g., Git).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in software testing (manual and automation).
• ISTQB certification is a plus.
