Solar Structural Designer / AutoCAD Draftsman (Solar Structure)

Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed 2D layouts and 3D structural models for rooftop, ground-mounted, and solar carport structures using AutoCAD.
• Translate site survey data, roof measurements, and shadow analyses into accurate technical drawings.
• Develop precise fabrication drawings for steel mounting structures (purlins, beams, columns) to be used by workshop teams.
• Prepare accurate material estimations and BOQ for structural steel, fasteners, and clamping components.
• Design structures that are cost-effective, durable, and easy to install, complying with local safety standards.
• Collaborate with project managers and site engineers to resolve design-related issues on-site.
• Prepare final "as-built" drawings after the completion of the project installation.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Software Proficiency: Expert knowledge of AutoCAD (2D/3D) is mandatory. Familiarity with SketchUp, PVsyst, HelioScope, or STAAD.Pro is a strong plus.
• Educational Background: Diploma in Associate Engineering (DAE) in Mechanical/Civil, or a Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum 0-1 years of experience in solar mounting structure design or steel structure fabrication.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of steel structure design, loading points, and material strength.
• Communication: Good communication skills to report to project managers.
