Role Overview
The Solar Structural Engineer will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and supporting execution of steel and RCC structures used in utility-scale ground mount solar power plants. The role combines design office work with site coordination to ensure structural safety, cost optimization, and constructability.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and analyze solar module mounting structures (MMS) for ground-mount projects.
- Perform structural calculations considering wind load, seismic load, and soil conditions.
- Design foundations (pile, RCC pedestal, micro-pile) based on geotechnical data.
- Prepare and review GA drawings, fabrication drawings, and BOQs.
- Use STAAD Pro / ETABS / SAFE for structural analysis.
- Coordinate with civil, design, procurement, and project execution teams.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure drawings are followed during construction.
- Provide technical solutions for design changes and site challenges.
- Ensure compliance with IS codes (IS 800, IS 875, IS 456) and client specifications.
Technical Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of steel structure design for solar projects.
- Proficiency in STAAD Pro and AutoCAD (mandatory).
- Understanding of solar plant construction methodology.
- Ability to interpret soil test reports and optimize foundation designs.
- Experience in BOQ preparation and material optimization.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Minimum 3+ years experience in solar ground-mount structural design.
- Experience working with solar EPC or infrastructure projects.
- Strong analytical, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to support site teams when required.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
