Solidworks 3d Designer

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & Modeling

• Create 3D models of metal products, furniture hardware, décor items, and custom components using SolidWorks.
• Develop detailed 2D drawings, exploded views & assembly diagrams for manufacturing.
• Produce renderings and presentations for clients and internal approvals.
• Maintain accurate design libraries and version control.

Technical & Manufacturing Support

• Prepare fabrication drawings including dimensions, tolerances, GD&T, BOM, and material specifications.
• Modify designs based on production feedback, feasibility, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with production team to ensure manufacturability and cost-efficiency.
• Assist in prototyping, testing, and design improvement cycles.

Coordination

• Work with marketing and sales teams to create visuals for presentations, catalogs, and e-commerce listings.
• Communicate effectively with vendors, suppliers, and fabricators.
• Meet project deadlines and handle multiple design requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency in SolidWorks (Part Modeling, Assemblies, Sheet Metal, Weldments, Rendering).
• Strong knowledge of metal fabrication processes (cutting, bending, welding, laser cutting, casting, etc.).
• Ability to create detailed engineering drawings and BOM.
• Understanding of tolerances, fits, joints, and manufacturability.
• Experience with 3D rendering tools (KeyShot is a plus).
• Diploma/BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Industrial Design, or related fields.
• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in 3D design (preferred).
