Solution Architect

We are seeking a highly experienced Solution Architect to lead the design, scalability, and evolution of a modern, cloud-native, microservices ecosystem powering a large-scale e-commerce and digital services platform. The architect defines architectural standards, ensures platform reliability, and shapes the long-term technology roadmap.

Key Responsibilities1. Architecture Ownership (High-Level Domains Only)

Own end-to-end architecture across distributed microservices including:

• Customer Experience & Storefront Platforms
• Product Information Management (PIM) & Content Systems
• Catalog, Pricing, Promotions, and Search
• Inventory & Fulfillment Systems
• Order Management & Returns/Refund Workflows
• Supplier & Marketplace Integrations
• Payment Processing & Fraud Detection
• Customer Support & CRM
• Engagement Systems (Notifications, Campaigns, Loyalty)
• Analytics, Event Streaming, and Personalization
• Internal Operations & Admin Platforms

Define system boundaries, integration patterns, and communication strategies.

2. Cloud & Infrastructure Architecture

• Design highly scalable architectures using containers, Kubernetes, serverless services, and distributed storage.
• Govern VPC architecture, networking segmentation, IAM strategies, and environment isolation.
• Lead performance optimization, high availability, and cloud cost governance.

3. Data Engineering & Analytics Architecture

• Architect ingestion, transformation, and distribution pipelines for commerce events.
• Design event-driven architectures for customer behavior analytics, recommendation systems, and operational insights.
• Define data governance, retention, lineage, and lifecycle management.

4. Microservices & Domain-Driven Design

• Apply DDD principles and bounded contexts across commerce domains.
• Enforce modular, decoupled, fault-tolerant architecture.
• Establish standards for idempotency, retries, event consistency, and messaging guarantees.
• Define CI/CD, testing, logging, monitoring, and release automation frameworks.

5. Integration Architecture

• Create secure integration patterns for payment gateways, logistics providers, marketplace partners, ERP, and CRM systems.
• Govern API authentication, authorization, versioning, throttling, and contract testing.

6. Security, Compliance & Governance

• Implement secure-by-design architecture across commerce transactions.
• Enforce least-privilege access, zero-trust networking, encryption standards, auditing, and certificate rotation.

7. Technical Leadership & Collaboration

• Lead architecture reviews and mentor engineering teams.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, DevOps, QA, and data teams.
• Break down complex transformation initiatives into executable roadmaps.

E-Commerce Domain Architecture Expertise (Additional Requirement)

The Solution Architect must demonstrate strong experience designing and scaling enterprise e-commerce platforms, including:

• High-traffic storefront and checkout scalability architecture
• Catalog, inventory, and pricing engine design at scale
• Marketplace / multi-seller ecosystem architecture
• Order lifecycle orchestration and fulfillment workflows
• Returns, refunds, and reverse logistics system design
• Payment orchestration and multi-gateway integrations
• Search, recommendation, and personalization architecture
• Promotions, loyalty, and customer engagement engines
• Omni-channel commerce architecture (web, mobile, POS, marketplace)

Required Skills & ExperienceTechnical Skills

• 10+ years experience in cloud architecture and distributed systems
• Proven experience architecting large-scale e-commerce or marketplace platforms
• Deep expertise in microservices, event-driven systems, and cloud-native design
• Strong experience with relational and NoSQL databases
• Knowledge of caching, search systems, and performance optimization
• Mastery of CI/CD, IaC, DevOps tooling, and platform engineering
• Experience designing analytics, personalization, and recommendation platforms
