Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Agent to join our procurement and supply chain management team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing sourcing, procurement, and contract negotiations to ensure seamless supply chain operations. This role requires a strong understanding of ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS, along with expertise in contract management, supplier relations, and logistics. The Agent will play a critical role in optimizing procurement processes, ensuring compliance with federal regulations, and supporting manufacturing and production planning activities.
Duties
- Manage procurement processes utilizing ERP systems like SAP and Oracle EBS to streamline purchasing and materials management.
- Lead contract negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms while maintaining strong supplier relationships.
- Oversee sourcing activities across categories including manufacturing, logistics, and supply chain management.
- Conduct root cause analysis to resolve supply chain disruptions or quality issues promptly.
- Develop and implement category management strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Ensure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and other contractual standards.
- Coordinate with production planning teams to align procurement activities with manufacturing schedules.
- Monitor supplier performance, manage supplier contracts, and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support procurement management functions such as pricing analysis, contract management, and logistics coordination.
- Collaborate on procurement strategy development to optimize costs, quality, and delivery timelines.
Experience
- Proven experience working with ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS in procurement or supply chain roles.
- Strong background in contract negotiation, supplier management, and sourcing within manufacturing or logistics environments.
- Familiarity with MRP systems, materials management, production planning, and quality management processes.
- Knowledge of federal regulations related to procurement including FAR is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to perform root cause analysis and implement effective solutions in supply chain operations.
- Excellent negotiation skills combined with strategic thinking for category management and procurement optimization.
- Prior experience in logistics, pricing strategies, contract management, or materials management is highly desirable. Pay: $31.77 - $38.26 per hour
