Sourcing Head - Saree

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end sourcing and procurement of sarees (Silk, Cotton, Designer, Handloom, etc.) across regions.
• Identify and develop a strong vendor base including weavers, manufacturers, and suppliers nationwide.
• Ensure cost-effective sourcing without compromising on design, quality, and delivery timelines.
• Conduct regular market visits and trend analysis to stay updated with regional varieties and consumer preferences.
• Collaborate with design and merchandising teams to align sourcing with brand aesthetics and seasonal collections.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and supply agreements with vendors.
• Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with quality, ethical, and sustainability standards.
• Manage inventory flow, forecast requirements, and optimize sourcing cycles.
• Drive innovation in fabrics, designs, and weaving techniques in collaboration with R&D and design teams.
• Lead a team of sourcing executives and regional coordinators, ensuring smooth operational execution.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of saree fabrics, weaving clusters, and regional specialties.
• Excellent vendor management, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Proven experience in fashion merchandising or textile sourcing.
• Ability to manage multi-location sourcing and large-scale production planning.
• Analytical mindset with strong commercial acumen and trend awareness.
• Leadership skills to guide a sourcing and quality control team.

Educational Qualification:

• Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Textile Technology, Fashion Management, or related field.
• MBA in Supply Chain / Operations (preferred).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹150,000.00 per month
