Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly driven and detail-oriented Sourcing Manager to lead and optimize the procurement of footwear and fashion accessories for our mass-market e-commerce platform in India and GCC. This role is pivotal in building a cost-effective, scalable, and trend-aligned supply base that delivers quality products at speed and value. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in working with Indian and regional vendors, understand the nuances of fast-moving e-commerce demands, and be agile in handling vendor development, pricing, and category growth.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for mass-market footwear and fashion accessories (bags, belts, socks, etc.) tailored to Indian e-commerce customers.
  • Identify, onboard, and manage a vendor base across India and South Asia (especially in regions like Delhi, Noida, Agra, Kanpur, Kolkata, Chennai, Mumbai, etc.).
  • Lead cost negotiations, margin planning, and supplier terms to meet business targets.
  • Collaborate closely with category, design, merchandising, and supply chain teams to align sourcing with trends, demand forecasts, and go-to-market calendars.
  • Ensure timely sample development and approvals in line with brand specifications and TAT.
  • Drive product development by working closely with vendors on innovation, trend alignment, and value engineering.
  • Ensure vendor compliance with quality standards, ethical sourcing, and delivery SLAs.
  • Monitor market dynamics including raw material pricing, competitor sourcing trends, and regional manufacturing capabilities.
  • Use data-driven insights to track supplier performance, costing, and sell-through results.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Technology – specialization in Footwear and accessories.
  • 8-12 years of relevant experience in sourcing for footwear and fashion accessories, preferably in e-commerce or large retail.
  • Strong vendor network in India and knowledge of regional manufacturing hubs.
  • Deep understanding of Indian mass-market customer preferences, pricing sensitivity, and seasonal cycles.
  • Ability to manage multiple product categories, vendors, and timelines simultaneously.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, and basic ERP/PLM tools.
  • Willingness to travel domestically to factories and vendor hubs as required.


Preferred Experience:

  • Experience working with or for major e-commerce platforms
  • Familiarity with private label development and fast fashion cycles.
