Job DescriptionRole: Sourcing & Production Merchandiser

**About the Role:**
We are seeking a proactive Sourcing & Production Merchandiser with 5–10 years of experience in fabric and trims sourcing, vendor management, and apparel production coordination.
The ideal candidate will oversee the end-to-end material procurement and production process — ensuring timely sourcing, quality control, and smooth vendor alignment for every collection.
This position is crucial for maintaining fast-paced design-to-launch calendar and delivering high-quality, trend-led products efficiently.

Key Responsibilities1. Fabric & Trims Sourcing

· Identify, evaluate, and onboard vendors for fabrics, trims, and accessories as per design requirements.

· Negotiate pricing, lead times, and MOQs to achieve cost efficiencies while maintaining quality standards.

· Source innovative, seasonal, and sustainable materials aligned with the brand’s design direction.

· Maintain a fabric and trims database with pricing, lead times, and vendor performance ratings.

2. Vendor & Supply Chain Management

· Build and manage strong relationships with mills, suppliers, and production units.

· Issue and track Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure timely material deliveries.

· Monitor supplier performance on quality, cost, and adherence to timelines.

· Coordinate logistics and ensure seamless handover of sourced materials to production partners.

3. Production Merchandising

· Plan and monitor production schedules for each collection drop in coordination with the design and merchandising teams.

· Work closely with pattern, sampling, and QC teams to ensure design intent is maintained during production.

· Follow up on cutting, stitching, finishing, and packing stages to meet committed T&A timelines.

· Conduct inline and final quality inspections before dispatch.

· Maintain clear documentation of production status, deliveries, and quality reports.

Qualifications & Skills

· Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Fashion Technology, Apparel Production, or Supply Chain Management.

· 5–10 years of experience in apparel sourcing, production merchandising, or vendor management.

· In-depth knowledge of fabrics, trims, garment manufacturing, and costing.

· Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.

· Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and T&A tracking tools.

Preferred Attributes

· Experience working with streetwear / youth / casualwear brands.

· Established network of fabric and trim vendors across India.

· Understanding of fast fashion production cycles and agile supply chain operations.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
