Sourcing Specialist ( Supply chain) - UAEN


Job purpose :


Assist the unit’s business in effecting efficient sourcing processes to save costs and maximize profitability by assisting in the negotiating processes with suppliers to obtain services at the best prices. The role holder is expected to support the unit in coordination of activities to achieve the desired outcomes of the unit.


Sourcing


  • Understand and ensure the processes are compliant with the various laws and regulations in place by the business and the Government of Abu Dhabi.
  • Support the sourcing process in an ethical and compliant way and ensure it is aligned with international, local standards, laws and regulations.
  • Ensure that all activities conducted during the sourcing and selection process are above board and satisfactory to the ethical requirements of the business and the Government of Abu Dhabi.
  • Update and maintain and develop the Vendor Database with vendor pre-qualification, background checks, on-boarding, status and currency of registration (trade and commercial licenses etc.).
  • Support in the development of the quality performance guidelines and corrective actions for supplier performance improvement and manage milestone deliverables verification process.


Vendors & Supplier Relation

  • Provide support to team which helps facilitate the bidding process by answering any queries and routing questions to the relevant personnel in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Support in facilitating the pre-qualification of suppliers for Bidders lists (due diligence) with any applicable Business Partners to develop accuracy in the vendor/supplier selection process.

  • Carry out any other duties and responsibilities related to the role at the request of the direct manager
  • Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
  • Demonstrate compliance to organization’s values and ethics at all times to support the establishment of a value drive culture within the organization.
  • Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes and practices considering global standards, productivity improvement and cost reduction.


Qualification :


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or equivalent and preferably a master’s degree


Experience and Skills:

  • 1 to 5 years
  • Language: Full professional English
  • Arabic proficiency both in speaking and writing desirable but not essential
  • Skilled in MS Office (PowerPoint, Word and Excel)
  • Administrative skills and attention to details
  • Self-motivated with a proven ability to complete work in a timely manner
  • Experience with business planning
  • Knowledge of the principles, practices and techniques of corporate sourcing
